Anthony Modica
Co-President
Anthony grew up in Sound Beach, New York, on Long Island. Currently a junior at the University at Albany, he is pursuing a double major in Business Administration and Financial Market Regulation, with a concentration in the Financial Analyst Honors Program. Since his freshman year, Anthony has been an active member of the Investment Group, where he has focused on the technology sector. Working alongside talented upperclassmen, he has received invaluable guidance that has helped him secure an internship. Anthony is excited to join Deutsche Bank's Investment Banking Summer Analyst Class next summer. Outside of academics, Anthony enjoys playing poker and golf in his free time.
Timothy King
Co-President
From Rockland County, New York, Tim is graduating one year early from the Financial Analyst Honors Program within the UAlbany Business School. He has been a member of UASBIG since his Freshman year, moving from the Consumer sector to Industrials and eventually to the Executive Board. Alongside being a Campus Ambassador and University Tutor, he also takes on the role of President of the University at Albany Stock Exchange, an informal club that teaches the basics of finance and investing. After spending his summer within the Private Client division of Oppenheimer & Co, he will be returning full-time upon graduation.
Katherine Czernyk
Chief Financial Officer
Katie is a senior from Westchester, NY, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Analyst Honors and a minor in economics. She has been a member of UASBIG since her sophomore year as a Healthcare sector intern, a Healthcare senior analyst her junior year and now serves as the groups Chief Financial Officer. This past summer Katie interned at Scotiabank as a Global Capital Markets intern and will be returning following graduation.
Jacob Webb
Chief Operating Officer
Jacob grew up in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and is a senior in the Financial Analyst Honors Program. A dedicated athlete, he is a member of the NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse team at the University at Albany and is actively involved in UASBIG. Jacob began at UASBIG in the financials sector and gained practical experience through an internship at Scotiabank this past summer. Outside of academics and athletics, he is interested in cinematography and poker.
Prarthna Kaurani
Chief Risk Officer
Prarthna is a senior from India, double majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Analyst Honors and Financial Market Regulation. She has been a member of UASBIG since her junior year as analyst in the Industrials sector and now serves as the group’s Chief Risk Officer. This past summer Prarthna interned at C.L. King & Associates as an Investment Banking & Capital Markets intern and will be continuing there during the senior year as well.
Jorge Duque Jimenez
Director of Public Relations and Recruitment
Jorge grew up in Mahopac, New York. He is currently a senior at the University at Albany and majors in Accounting with a minor in business. Jorge has been a part of the investment group since his junior year when he started as a healthcare analyst. This past summer, Jorge interned at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where he was a part of the Tax department team. This upcoming spring, he will intern at KPMG as an audit intern on their financial services team. Besides academics, Jorge actively volunteers for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and enjoys going to the gym and playing golf.
Thomas Miney
Meeting Chair
Tommy Miney is a senior from Manhattan pursuing a dual major in Financial Analyst Honors and Financial Market Regulation. He has joined the Investment Group as a Junior Analyst specializing in the financials sector. Outside of his academic pursuits, Tommy maintains an active lifestyle through sports and fitness. Upon graduation, he aspires to commence a career in Equity Research.
